We are delighted to have you at Victoria Hideout, a sanctuary for ecotourists and those who want to return to nature. With our villa’s vantage point overlooking Victoria Reservoir’s wildlife sanctuary, you’ll have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see some of the world’s most beautiful animals in their native environment.
Victoria Hideout was founded on my mission to share the wonders of nature with as many people as possible. All sorts of animals, from elephants to deer to birds, live in the sanctuary, and we can view them all from our villa.

It was a great experience and relaxing at at Victoria hideout. This was our 2nd time coming here and the service was absolutely amazing!
I had the most incredible stay at Victoria Hideout in Theldeniya, hosted by Dinesh. From start to finish, the experience was amazing. The property is truly beautiful – the sunsets were breathtaking, the pool was perfect for relaxing, and the rooms were spacious with large balconies that offered stunning views.
A special mention has to go to Dinesh, who was an outstanding host. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, constantly checking in with us, serving with a genuine smile, and making us feel completely at home. His hospitality really made the experience unforgettable.
The food was another absolute highlight! We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis for 4 people and also had lunch and dinner there. The total cost for food came to just 12,450 LKR, which was incredible value given how delicious and perfectly prepared everything was.
One thing to keep in mind is that the property is quite secluded – about 1 hour 15 minutes from Kandy town. While this makes it wonderfully peaceful and quiet, it’s best to let them know in advance what meals you’d like so they can buy groceries beforehand, since shops are not nearby.
Overall, this place is a hidden gem – peaceful, great value for money, with excellent hospitality. Thanks to Dinesh’s warmth and care, we felt like we were staying at a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway!

We stayed here for 2days and it was a really great stay the people were very friendly and my son enjoyed the stay at the hotel it felt like home..
They organised a dinner with grilled fish and we enjoyed it very much..

I went twice to this place. Once with my partner and now with my mother&brother. Its a hidden diamant with an amazing view and the friendliest people working there. Food is extra delicious and cheap
Priced too. There are only 4 rooms and they have a standart i have not seen a second time during my 2 months in sri lanka. Although its a bit outside its also a huge plus..enjoy the silence and the clean pool! Thanks you for all the memoroes i could make there!!

The hotel is luxurious and comfortable, the rooms are large, clean and tidy. The food is also very tasty. Dinesh and the staff are friendly and very helpful. A calm, cool and quiet place to relaxIng.

This is indeed a gem near Theldeniya, it directly faces the Victoria reservoir and a secret haven. We enjoyed our stay very much and this place saved our vacation. Although we couldn't do much due to the thick mist our holiday was good because of this place. The service is good Dinesh was very welcoming and we loved Shadow the cute hotel cat so much. The food was delicious and the portion was very good. Another place we will come back for sure. Until then Cheers.

A wonderful place on earth. Our room was right in front of the “Victoria Reservoir,” and both days we woke up to a picture-perfect view of nature. The staff was amazing – always helpful and welcoming with smiles throughout the day, making our stay incredibly relaxing. The nights and mornings were calm and cool, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. This is definitely a place we’ll return to in Kandy.

Situated on the Victoria Dam Road, with absolutely stunning views of the Victoria Reservoir. The Victoria Dam Viewpoint is 4 km further up the road. Rooms are spacious and clean with a large balcony. The service was excellent. Dinesh the Man Friday ensures a comfortable stay for guests.

Great food we had seafood noodles and BBQ. Rooms are clean with a amazing view of Victoria lake. There's a small waterfall nearby unfortunately can't go close to it.
