Wewatenna Camping site
You may find the Beautiful Wewatenna Camping Site near Victoria Hideout in Sri Lanka. Outdoor enthusiasts and city dwellers alike will find it hard to find a better place to escape it than here. Rangala Natural Pool
Rangala Natural Pool, also named after the nearest village, Galabadawaththa, is a beautiful natural pond for bathing and swimming, with several picnic spots along the river known as Kotaganga, which is a tributary of the Huluganga. Immediately above the outlet of the Rangala Natural Pool is a small bridge. The Kotaganga has smooth river banks downstream, that’s why the natural pool can best be advanced by walking down to the river on that side of the bridge and then taking the tunnel below the bridge to reach the pool which is framed by steep cliffs on the other three sides. Further upstream are several small waterfalls. Also some more natural pools between boulders can be found along this stream.
Kandy
Kandy, the bustling metropolis of Sri Lanka, is close to Victoria Hideout. UNESCO has classified the Temple of the Tooth, which houses a relic widely thought to be the Buddha’s tooth, as a World Heritage Site, attesting to the city’s status as a cultural and historical treasure trove. Tourists may explore the city’s museums, palaces, and other historical sites to learn more about its long and illustrious history. Many shops and busy markets might be selling authentic native goods, including handcrafted goods, spices, and tourist trinkets. Walking around or riding on Kandy Lake in a boat is a popular activity for tourists because of the picturesque surroundings. The Victoria hideout is next to Mahiyanganaya, a small town in Sri Lanka’s Eastern Region known as Victoria Hideout. The Buddha reportedly stopped by here on his third journey across Asia. Peradeniya Botanical Garden
Sri Lanka’s Peradeniya Botanical Garden is famed near Victoria Hideout. Around 147 acres of luxuriant foliage make it Asia’s most beautiful and biggest botanical park. The garden has many orchids, medicinal plants, and spice plants. Nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers visit the garden for its unique flora and animals. Guests may picnic by the river, wander the garden’s twisting pathways, or rest under the enormous trees. The park has an orchid house, a big Javan fig tree, and a suspension bridge with panoramic views.
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Sri Lanka’s Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is renowned near Victoria Hideout. It shelters orphaned and wounded elephants in a natural setting. The refuge provides visitors with the opportunity to bottle-feed or observe newborn elephants being fed daily and serves as an educational center for elephant conservation and their genuine issues.
